The promise

Every puzzle
solvable by logic.

Most sudoku apps only guarantee that a puzzle has one answer — not that a person can reason their way to it. At the hardest levels that difference is where guessing creeps in.

Sudoku Society runs a solver that thinks in human techniques — singles, locked candidates, naked pairs, X-wing — against every board before you ever see it. If the board can't be finished by reasoning, it never ships.

Easy and Medium settle with singles alone. Hard and Very Hard ask for a little more. Extreme digs as deep as fairness allows and no deeper.

What's inside

Pick up where you left

Every move is saved as you make it. Close the app mid-puzzle and Continue is waiting — board, notes, time, and all.

Real pencil marks

Jot candidates into any square. When a digit lands, it clears itself from every square it rules out.

Hints that teach

Instead of handing over an answer, a hint shows you the reasoning — “only one square in this column can take a 7” — and lets you place it.

Input that adapts

Tap a number then a square, or a square then a number — whichever way your hands think. Matching digits light up as you go.

Finished sets settle

Place the last 7 and its button quietly checks itself off, so a misclick can't undo your calm.

Relaxed mode

Turn off the three-slip limit and the clock. Some evenings the puzzle should just be a puzzle.

Learn to play

A guided first board walks newcomers through the rules and the two tricks that unlock most puzzles — then steps aside.

Built for VoiceOver

The whole board reads aloud, square by square, with spoken placements and finished sets. Rare in this corner of the App Store.

Every day

One puzzle,
one garden.

A single medium board each day, the same one for everybody. Finish it and a leaf joins that month's garden. Tend every day and the whole month comes into bloom.

Streaks are counted gently — today stays open until midnight, and nothing scolds you for missing a day.

7 day streak

Why it looks like this

Difficulty should mean more interesting logic — not more suffering. A puzzle you can't reason through isn't hard, it's just unfinished.

Warm paper instead of cold white. Soft sage instead of alarm red. A timer you can hide, mistakes called slips, and a board that never rushes you. Everything here is in service of one idea: that a sudoku app should feel like a chair by a window, not a slot machine.

Get it

One quiet purchase. $2.99.

Pay once, own it forever. No subscription, no ads, no in-app purchases — and nothing more to buy, ever.

Live now on the App Store for iPhone & iPad, on Google Play for Android, and on the Amazon Appstore for Fire tablets.

Privacy

The app can't even reach the internet. Because you pay once at the store, Sudoku Society needs no network of its own — the Android build doesn't request internet permission, and the iOS build makes no network calls. An app that can't connect can't leak.

Your puzzles, stats, streaks, and settings live in local storage on your phone. Delete the app and they're gone — there's no copy anywhere else.

No account. No email. No tracking identifier. No third-party SDKs. No crash reporting. Nothing to opt out of, because there was never anything collected.
